On April 13, Uniswap, the largest DEX, announced the launch of its mobile wallet with built-in support for the exchange.

The Uniswap team had earlier stated that Apple was blocking the app from its stores. However, the wallet is now available on the App Store for iOS devices in selected countries.

The Uniswap app allows users to swap tokens on the Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism networks. WalletConnect can connect it to any Ethereum app, and users can back up their accounts by writing down their seed phrase or encrypting their key vaults with a password and storing them in iCloud.

The app also provides users with detailed information on nonfungible tokens (NFTs) stored within it, such as their floor prices and collections.

The move towards mobile wallets with built-in decentralized finance (DeFi) functions has been increasing over the past few years. In 2020, Argent integrated MakerDAO and other DeFi protocols with its wallet app, and 1inch provided similar integrations in 2021.

Uniswap has over $3.4 billion of total value locked inside its smart contracts, according to its analytics page. The app launch was a significant step for the Uniswap team after their complaint that Apple was blocking the app from its stores.

News outlets reached out to the Uniswap team for a list of countries where the app is available, but they did not respond by the time of publication.

The Uniswap team’s latest update on its app’s availability would undoubtedly be good news for iOS device owners who use Uniswap, as it would be easier to access the platform and swap tokens.

Uniswap Launches Mobile wallet

In conclusion, Uniswap’s new mobile wallet with built-in support for the exchange is now available on the App Store for iOS devices in selected countries.

It offers users the ability to swap tokens on the Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism networks, as well as backup their accounts and view NFT information. The launch is a significant development for the Uniswap team, given their previous complaint about Apple’s blocking of the app.
